Well I need to to have this as a happy thought otherwise I will just feel really down and I'm not willing to be as low as I was yesterday as I basically cried most of the day not only did this upset hubby but it angered and upset my eldest son seeing his Mum so upset, I'm just grateful the wee one did not witness my melt down.
Today I phoned and spoke to the consultants secretary and she said that this should not have happened and will be looking into this for me and will get back to me in regards to this matter. I did say to her that I have sent a email to paitient affairs manager stating that while I was and still am disappointed due to this error, it has also taken a bed that someone that could have benefited from never mind the cost to the NHS my operation cancellation has cost. I did state that the day surgery was brilliant and Mr xxxxx looked truly disappointed in sending a patient away and having to cancel basically within 5 minutes of going into the operating room.
I need to focus on that everyone is doing their best to get my operation done asap and pray that things will be sorted soon.
|
l hope and pray that things are sorted out for you soon weenie as my thoughts and wishes are with you.

Probably start in the New Year, to give my current employers a chance to get a replacement in and do a proper handover.
My wife, as you may expect, is very pleased - it's not been an easy last six months for her, with me being away through the week; now, at least, she has an end date in sight.
However, until I get a signed contract, it's not 'real'...
|
Hopefully it will all go through for you Hugh as it certainly would be a very nice bonus being much closer to home and family that is for sure.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
@ den thank you.
@ nash I'm fine today and looking for the silver lining of yesterday's events and I've came up with one and that's at least I know what to expect on the day of my operation now example blood pressure taken, pre med given, etc so next time it should be less daunting and I will be prepared for disappointment should this situation happen again although I've prayed that it doesn't.

Not sure if I've missed something you've posted but what exactly happened weenie?
My op was cancelled the afternoon before and I have to say I was bloody upset about it as, like you, I'd psyched myself up for the damned thing. It sounds like it was even worse for you though.
@ Hugh - something to really celebrate!

@ weenie - Ahhhhh, I've just found and replied to your original post in the other thread so ignore my opening remark in the post above.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Yesterday morning I noticed that there was some water coming out of where our meter is in the footpath. Not actually running just damp. Southern water have just turned up to fix it and I hadn't even got round to calling it in.
Full marks to SW.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Just got a call from the hospital to go in on Monday at 07:30 as now everything is in place for my operation. Week day surgery tick, bed available in case open surgery is required tick.
I hope and pray I don't get home this time as I don't think I could handle that tbh.

Excellent.
With a bit of luck the bed won't be needed and a lot of TLC at home will be all that's required.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
My nephew (12), took part in a school county maths exam, out of 200 pupils he came 3rd .
So his mum and dad are buying him a xbox 1 s for his birthday (instead of me)
