Slower speeds
In the last 3 days I have only been getting 60Mbps to 96Mbps. I have reset the router and everything else but to no avail. CF24 area code.
I can get by with this speed but am a bit miffed I am not getting what I pay for that's all.
I have an Asus router and the superhub is in modem mode.
Any ideas? Thanks

Re: Slower speeds
Are you checking your speeds with an ethernet cable?

Yes. wired to the router. At one point last night I got about 100Mbps. But not close to the 150ish I've been getting recently.
There are no service interruptions I'm aware of.

Re: Slower speeds
So here is an update:
I have a Dell PC connected by Gigabit ethernet to an Asus RT-N66. Also connected to the router is a USB Hard drive drive. I had been getting transfer speeds from PC to the HDD of 13MB/s. Which I was satisfied with. I have upgraded the firmware of the router recently and now the network speed is 8MB/s maximum.
I have also noticed that the wired internet speed has gone down from 140Mbps to 80 Mbps.
Is this really down to a firmware upgrade? Or is there something I can change?
Thanks

What happens if you roll back to the previous firmware?

Haven't tried it. The previous firmware I was on is now 18 months old. It desperately needed updating, and took a while. So I'm loathed to now go back, but if that's what it takes then I guess I will have to.
I just wondered if there were any other ideas I could try first.

Re: Slower speeds
If you've updated to the absolute latest firmware, it might be worth doing a factory reset. I would be somewhat surprised if the official ASUS FW had any issues, but I know that between different versions of the merlin fw (based on Asus) he suggested doing a factory reset at certain points due to large underlying changes.
I'd also recommend merlin's fw.

Re: Slower speeds
Check in the settings that hardware acceleration is enabled.

Which settings? I've not seen that option before? Is that in Tools or something?

Re: Slower speeds
Yeah under Tools -> Sysinfo you'll see if it's enabled or not. It gets disabled if you enable certain options:

Yeah it's enabled. Any other things I can try before I change firmware?
