Aidan O'Brien's unbeaten colt has already secured glorious victories in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket and the Investec Derby at Epsom and will aim to become the first horse since Nijinsky in 1970 to complete the Classic hat-trick on Town Moor.

Last seen winning the Irish Derby at the Curragh in June, the son of Montjeu came through a recent racecourse gallop at Leopardstown with flying colours and will be long odds-on to become a legend of the turf on September 15

Premio Loco is likely to have just one more run this season following his game victory in the Celebration Mile at Goodwood on Saturday.

The Joel Stakes at Newmarket next month, in which he finished second last term, is the race trainer Chris Wall is considering for the eight-year-old who has now won five Group Two races.

Wall is hoping the Prized gelding can retain his form for another year at least and plans to prepare him for the 2013 Winter Derby at Lingfield which he won in March.

David Marnane is considering the next plan of attack for sprinters Dandy Boy and Nocturnal Affair after the pair finished down the field in the Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes at York.

Dandy Boy came from a long way back to be beaten a little under five lengths into 11th by Ortensia, while Nocturnal Affair was one place further adrift.

Valyra, the unbeaten French Oaks winner, has been put down after suffering a serious injury while being prepared for the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

The filly, owned by the Aga Khan and trained by Jean-Claude Rouget, fractured her femur while exercising on the beach at Deauville on Wednesday morning.

Paul Nolan is set to campaign Noble Prince on British shores this jumps season in search of better ground.

While the County Wexford trained is hoping to start the 2011 Jewson Novices' Chase victor off in Gowran Park's Champion Chase over two and a half miles on October 6, his later objectives look like being on the other side of the Irish Sea.

Ideally, Nolan would like his Gowran Park outing to be a prep race for the Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon on December 13.

Johnny Murtagh's contract as retained rider for the owner's Irish-trained horses has been terminated, according to the Aga Khan's Irish stud farm manager Pat Downes.

The 42-year-old has ridden numerous Group One winners for the influential owner-breeder, notably guiding Sinndar to victory in the Epsom Derby, the Irish Derby and the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe in 2000 when stable jockey to John Oxx.

Downes said: "I can confirm it (Murtagh's departure) is true. I don't have a whole lot more to say, other than there were differences between the parties and it was agreed that we would part."

Ayaar could go for Group One glory at the Curragh following his smooth victory in Germany on Wednesday evening.

Trainer Mick Channon is thinking of aiming his juvenile at the Goffs Vincent O'Brien Stakes on September 15 after his successful venture to Baden-Baden.

The Rock Of Gibraltar colt took Group Three honours in the Belmondo Zukunfts-Rennen over seven furlongs and although he has now run seven times, Channon feels his charge is still progressing.

Akeed Mofeed will continue his racing career in Hong Kong after being sold by his owner-breeder Jaber Abdullah.

The one-time Classic contender, trained by John Oxx, has been bought by a patron of trainer Richard Gibson.

Akeed Mofeed looked a bright prospect when opening his account by five lengths at Leopardstown last September before taking second place behind David Livingston in the Group Two Beresford Stakes at the Curragh later that month.
