Infinity tv box

I keep getting an advert on face book trying to sell what's called an infinity tv box , for £150 one of payment gets you any programme even ones like sky sports where you normally pay a monthly fee for free. Never have to make any payments again . Has any one herd or have this, There is a web site on this as well. I am thinking of getting a now tv box but this suddenly came to my attention and was wondering if this will be better.

Re: Infinity tv box

Doesn't sound kosher, as if it were legal, they would have to pay Sky etc. for their channels.

And on the UK channels page, it states
Quote:
Channels

The list of channels we offer are coming soon…

We offer all Sport Channels, Movie Channels, Entertainment Channels + Much more

You also have access to any Movie or TV show of your choice with our custom search function
It doesn't even provide a list of channels...

And in their FAQ page
Quote:
Is the INFINITY TV BOX legal?

Yes. Absolutely. In the same way that your computer, gaming system, tablet and smart phones are legal. INFINITY TV BOX merely uses third party programs written externally by programmers and developers via OTT content and IPTV services. These programs simply provide a platform between online entertainment streams and hosts offering content. You are solely streaming content, and that is not illegal. Is there a chance that my INFINITY TV BOX will get shut down? This possibility is slim to none. As long as there is a demand for the entertainment industry, there will be an endless supply of programmers and developers, providing content for your INFINITY TV BOX. You never have to worry about any interruption in your viewing experience. With every passing day, countless volumes of content is being developed. Your INFINITY TV BOX will only get better every day.

Re: Infinity tv box

Sounds like a torrent streamer combined with a browser of those dodgy TV streaming sites.

Re: Infinity tv box

The box shown on the site looks like either a copy or a bad photoshop of an Apple TV 2 or 3. I suspect the box is actually a copy of the ATV, but with a copy of Android and XBMC installed on it (which is probably against the terms of the licence of XBMC).

Oh, look, the same box (minus the Infinity TV) is on ebay for a fraction of the price.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/android-tv-box-xbmc
