as long as it is a secure password and not simple. There was an alleged leak of user details from steam I think it was I downloaded the details to make sure mine was not there ( it was not) but some of the combinations would be guessed anyway

I use a free password manager called 'lastpass' then i only need to remember 1 password, although any banking passwords i don't store in that.

I'm feeling great now thanks. Last couple of weeks were awful, never want it again. Eye has been fine since Friday, so maybe the drops helped cure whatever it was.

Make a system so that each site can have a different password but you will still remember it. For example, a date (not your birthday!) + something specific to each site. So if you used 1942 as your date, your password for Cableforum could be Cableforum1942. On gmail it would then be gmail1942. It's better if you don't use a site name but something unique to the site, so for Cableforum you could use Virgin1942 and snailmail1942 for gmail.
Make it a little bit more complicated than that but in a way you will still remember. Maybe separate the two words with a special character such as an ! or %, so it becomes virgin%1942.
Make one or two letters uppercase or all uppercase but one or two to add a bit more strength too.
Once you remember the password for one site, you can always work out the other site passwords based on the system even if you have not logged in for years. There are lots of ways of making a system, above is just an example
LastPass and those type of things are pretty good if you only ever a computer to login with though.
Edit: Forgot to mention, use a unique password for your main email address, nothing to do with the system. Think of that email address as the key to all your other accounts. If that password gets compromised then it can be used to reset the passwords on all your other sites that you signed up with. Also in the unlikely event two of your other accounts passwords were found out, they can't be used to work out your email pass based on seeing your system!

I use a smartphone app called KeePassDroid, you can put all the password you use into different folders (emails, websites, bank etc)
