I am now using drive image by Powerquest for my back up image. Would I gain any advantage if I now disabled the system restore for my boot drive in Windows apart from wasted disc space.
I personally would keep system restore, but I would reduce the size that it uses down to a minimum (not sure of size at the moment).
This is for speed in the event that if you install something that the system does not like then you can just turn it back to before.
I leave system restore on in normal use, sometimes corrects a cockup. When I want to take an image for backup, I stop system restore, And tidy up the HDD before taking the image.
