No I think including the HD channels for £150 for ten months was asking a bit much....

It's a decent deal, but I couldn't go back to watching sport, especially the footie in SD, the difference in quality is just too good.

To be honest, it is only the Sport in HD I ever want, entertainment channels can be standard, not bothered. But i like to see that the green stuff players are on is grass

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news

Hmmm. So rumours that the Sky Sports increase won't be for everyone, and a ten month offer for the sd channels.

I reckon the hd fee is going up.

So dosen't that mean that you are only saving approx £42.50 per year Doug? If, as you quoted £112.50 saved less £70 for the HD?

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news

This is how Sky's prices will be going up on September 1st

The Original Bundle - No change
The Variety Bundle - £2.00
The Family Bundle - £1.00
Sky Sports (1 or 2) - No change
Sky Sports Pack (1 & 2) - £2.50
Sky Movies (1 or 2) - No change
Sky Movies Pack (1 & 2) - £0.50
HD Pack - No change
Multiscreen - No change

Rumors suggest not everyone will be affected by the Sky Sports price rise with virgin media but we'll just have to wait and see

No Sky Sports SD is £27.25 per month and am paying £15 per month so that is a saving of £12.25 per month for ten months.

The HD charge is not relevant to the saving... that make sense?

This offer makes Sky Sports 1 or 2 on its own for £17 a month look a bit naff!

yes, but single offers often do. Who in their right mind would take broadband without a phone? etc

Agreed but was only pointing out the Season Ticket makes it impossibly naff rather than naff...
