Re: 2016 Formula 1 Season Thread
http://www.skysports.com/f1/news/240...crash-analysed
This makes intresting reading, watch the video in the report.
=================
Another explanation>-
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/...ment_124484991
In this report there is a section of interest:-
Quote:
Rosberg said: "I saw Lewis closing in, so as soon as I could I closed the door to the inside with a clear strong move to make sure he understands there is not going to be space there and I was very surprised that he went for it anyway. That's it. Then we were in the sand trap.
"In the end, we have to go with what the experts think and the experts have decided it was a racing incident."
Technically, Rosberg had breached article 27.7 of the sporting regulations, which requires the leading driver to leave room if there is a "significant proportion of the car attempting to pass alongside".
|
I have to say though that after Hamilton had made the good start to keep in front he moved over to the left too quickly and made it easy for Rosberg to pass him in the first place.

Re: 2016 Formula 1 Season Thread
Diabolical stuff from Rosberg. Can't understand all the whinging with him if he absolutely bottles races to increase his lead. He made no attempt today to actually race and seemed content to attempt to ward Hamilton off rather than gun it for a win. Hamilton showed why he's never out of it, risked his car in every corner after getting let past the miserable Rosberg. I've seen Rosberg pull out a wet race masterclass before so there's no excuse for today.

There is an excuse, it's called team orders. Absolutely disgusting they are still part of the sport.
That's all I'm saying on the matter.

Ros was just too slow, Lewis still would have got past on a pitstop.

It looks like Rosberg is feeling the heat in the kitchen in these last few weeks.

And of course his teammate driving into his wheels has nothing to do with it.

Re: 2016 Formula 1 Season Thread
No blame can be put at Hamilton for that in my unbiased opinion

Yes, it wasn't Lewises fault obviously and I am unbiased too.

Re: 2016 Formula 1 Season Thread
Oh dear!
Pity Rosberg got the lap in before the red, otherwise it would have been a truly steaming Q3 restart.

Re: 2016 Formula 1 Season Thread
Although it was LHs fault the sun looked like it was in his eyes at a critical point, and he just taped the wall.
I think there are going to be a lot of waved yellows, safety cars, a I won't be suprised if there's a Red or two.

Re: 2016 Formula 1 Season Thread
I think we would all have put a few quid on at least one Safety Car...
Shame it wasn't the exiting race promised. the circuit looks great and there are some really interesting camera angles as well. I hope this place has a future on the calendar.
