50mb utiliaztion problem inc?

Hey i've had 30mb, and recently upgraded to 50mb. The product has been nearly perfect apart from a few things with the superhub.

I noticed just before my upgrade to 50mb, i lost the ability to lock on to "channel 8" on the upstream of my connection. This was over 2 weeks ago now, i am now on channel 7, and it's ALOT busier then 8. But i just can't seem to gain 8 back.

This is a snapshot from the 28th

And now the 30th

Looks like somethings happening with uptake.

Is there a trick to get onto different Channels on the upstream? like contacting VM etc?

Downstream Channels
Lock Status Modulation Channel ID Max Raw Bit Rate Frequency Power SNR Docsis/EuroDocsis locked
Locked QAM256 30 55616000 Kbits/sec 307000000 Hz 1.5 dBmV 41.4 dB Hybrid
Locked QAM256 29 55616000 Kbits/sec 299000000 Hz 1.8 dBmV 41.4 dB Hybrid
Locked QAM256 31 55616000 Kbits/sec 315000000 Hz 1.2 dBmV 40.8 dB Hybrid
Locked QAM256 32 55616000 Kbits/sec 323000000 Hz 0.9 dBmV 40.5 dB Hybrid

Upstream Channels
Lock Status Modulation Channel ID Max Raw Bit Rate Frequency Power
Locked ATDMA 7 20480 Kbits/sec 45800000 Hz 44.9 dBmV

These are my Stats, afaik there near perfect.

Are you actually noticing any problems with your service? if its just on a graph then ignore it

I find this ridiculous. If a service isn't up to scratch, then it isn't up to scratch. Regardless of whether he can tell if its affecting him or not, its an issue and shouldn't be there. Ignoring something like this is what VM would like you to do, as with the other people having this same issue in that area. "Hey if no one complains about an error, not need to fix it, just leave it".

Well if its not affecting you in any way at all other then the fact that a graph from a third party which has so many variables uncontrollable outside the virgin media network that could affect it doesn't look as nice as you'd like it then whats the problem.

Ignoring something like what? What is the fault?

You're talking about ignoring something, what do you think is being ignored here?

It also could not.

The utilisation in your area is fine. If you're expecting a perfectly flat graph forever you're doomed to disappointment. VM aren't going to spend money upgrading their network to ensure your TBB meter is completely flat.

Utilisation changes by the day, my area is busiest Saturday, Sunday, Monday, a single day of a very slightly busier but still way off service affecting graph is really nothing, at all, to complain about.
