My PC clock showing wrong time
Despite the fact it automatically regularly updates.I clicked on update and it stayed at 1500 hours.Anyone else able to update normally?I've had to do it manually.

Re: My PC clock showing wrong time
Works fine for me.
Maybe try changing the time server? XP gives two options: time.windows.com & time.nist.gov

One thing I have found. If the date is wrong, then Windows will not reset the time automatically. Seems silly, I know.

Check your Motherboard battery doesn`t need changing, should be changed every three years tops!

Re: My PC clock showing wrong time
I use a little NTP client called Automachron and sync with time.cableol.net

Had a new motherboard installed in January so I doubt it.
The date is correct, the time zone is now correct but the time still is not right .This time I got the error message that the date was wrong.Well it isn't it's the time that's wrong. This happened with both available update sites..

Re: My PC clock showing wrong time
Long shot but on my pc I had disabled Windows Time, and this caused a cascade of problems.
check on it by this
start menu, run , "services.msc" search down at bottom for windows time and make sure its enabled.

Had a look and it's enabled.
I also restarted the PC and it seems to be at the correct time.
Will let you know if it happens again..

I don't have a router but I do have ZAP.What would ZAP have to do with altering the time..
I think it maybe that my son hath been fiddling again and altered the time zone. The only problem I had after I sorted that part was that the update sites were sending back the wrong error message. It is now reading the correct time and the update message is now correct.
Hmm!One of those weird Windows oddities I guess.I will keep a close eye on it.
The only other time I've lost time in this way is when using Byrce5 which seems to prevent any program on the taskbar from working. However the update still worked afterwards.
Thanks for all the help and suggestions.
