LawrenceG is an unknown quantity at this point
Thumbs down Re: BBC Red Button

This is supposed to be enhanced but is revamped.

Cannot watch or listen to TV while reading text news.

Missing Weather, Local News and sports results.

Any more upgrades coming?

It is SOMETHING that the BBC still have first rights to. So it gets pushed

You do not see the Olympics being PUSHED that much on other channels as on the BBC ,it was even plugged in the weather forecast today

Re: BBC Red Button

Just watched highlights from The Olivier Awards via the red button on freeview.
No doubt this could also be watched via VM provided you are not a Tivo customer. Come on Vm (& the BBC) it not too difficult to make these video streams available to Tivo customers via the red button?!?!

Spot on greg. and the question is why they can't they put the red button video streams on the EPG ?

I believe it's because then it's classed as a 'proper' channel and requires seperate OFCOM approval

I asked this on the community forums and NickO said it was because they couldn't have it in the EPG just on Tivo it would have to be in the EPG on V+ and V Boxes.

Not really sure why that prevents them doing it, just stick them in the 800 or 900s.

Re: BBC Red Button

Maybe because TiVo uses full EPG metadata for channels whereas the V boxes can have basic info
