To be honest I'd like sporting personalities to win it. And you dont have to be a winner to have a personality.
So for me, I'd go with Swan over Strauss because he's more of a personality (imo) if we're talking cricket.
I'd love to see David Hayes win it. Ok he might have lost his fight to Klitschko but he had everyone talking about it leading up and after the fight. Who cares if some of what he said was in bad taste, personally I think it made a lot of people want to watch him.

No most of his televised stuff is on Sky but thats no excuse in my mind.

He didn't just lose though, he ran, no wonder his toe was hurting at the end.

Clue's in the title, BBC sports personality of the year, it used to be limited to people who appeared of Granstand, Sportsview or some show like that IIRC which is why Bob Nudd never won, perhaps it's changed over the years since they started to lose sports rights.

Clue's in the title, BBC sports personality of the year, it used to be limited to people who appeared of Granstand, Sportsview or some show like that IIRC which is why Bob Nudd never won, perhaps it's changed over the years since they started to lose sports rights.

It would have to change or next year we would only have the world jelly throwing champion and tic tac toe champion to choose from.
