Re: Top Gear
I thought Damon Hill (or another F1 driver, can't remember) once stated that The Stig couldn't be an F1 driver because he wasn't using F1 lines round the corners?

Yeah, it was. I know the original Stig (black suit) was an F1 driver.

And, yes, I do like Top Gear.
What I don't like is the media's current wish to attack any presenter/show that it considers distasteful.
This isn't because I think it's OK for TV personalities to have a go at people, but I can see it getting to the point where TV companies are so frightened of offending the media that we'll just end up with TV channels consisting of a load of cheap soaps and cheap (but heavily censored) reality programs. Anything that TV companies don't think will offend us.
|
So why have I had two warnings from Cable Forum for offending posts? Not that they where offensive.

Well, Cable Forum isn't a television company, so it's not the same thing - different 'rules' apply. And, of course, there's the fact that the posts weren't offensive in your opinion...

Re: Top Gear
Let's stick to the topic not discuss warnings.
If you need further clarification of your warning PM the mod/admin who gave it to you.

Re: Top Gear
I'm a prostitute... I sell myself every day to the corporate monster.
All I can say is that when I watched it with a few mates we all laughed and one of them is a lorry driver.
It's a myth that goes back years and has been seen on many films and this is not the first time that a link between prostitutes and lorry drivers has been mentioned on Top Gear (roadtrip across America).
The fact that this is only being complained about now is proof of the additional media hype or that the UK has lost it's sense of humor. Either way a very sorry state of affairs.
I really enjoyed the program, not the best i've seen though but I'm now saving for a Lamborghini Gallardo

Wouldn't it be an indication he hadn't seen the aforementioned pics?
