The "mystery man" at the centre of the Amir Khan row has told BBC Sport he was correcting clear errors made by the fight's scoring supervisor.
Mustafa Ameen was accused by Khan of interfering with judges' scorecards in his defeat against Lamont Peterson.
But Ameen claims he only pointed out mistakes made by Michael Welsh, who had said he was unwell.
"I noticed one error and a subsequent error. I assisted him in correcting it without touching anything," he said

Lamont Peterson has lodged an appeal against the WBA's decision to order a rematch against Amir Khan.
The governing body last week sanctioned a repeat of the light-welterweight bout after Peterson won in controversial circumstances on 10 December.
But the 27-year-old American, who will keep the IBF version of the title after Khan withdrew an appeal over the result, is contesting the judgment.
"We are confident the WBA will overturn its decision," Peterson's camp said.
In a written appeal they also asked the WBA to "recognise Lamont Peterson as the true and final WBA light-welterweight world champion."

You have to love the man. If you spend any time at all talking to Angelo Dundee, the 90-year-old cornerman who entered the Boxing Hall of Fame in 1992 and is still training fighters today, you have to love the guy. If for no other reason than he still calls Muhammad Ali “the kid.”

Renowned boxing trainer Angelo Dundee has died at the age of 90.
Mr Dundee, who helped train Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard, passed away in Tampa, Florida, his son Jimmy told the Associated Press.
"It was the way he wanted to go," he said. "He did everything he wanted to do."

Very saddened to hear of the passing of a true legend.
RIP Angelo.

Re: Boxing 2012
Mayweather will face Cotto on May 5th.
Not exactly that superfight we were hoping for but who knows what happened.
Floyd claims this time round it was a simple case of accepting the terms which were apparently 50/50 with no hoops to jump through and Manny ducked him.
After Manny's last fight I feel he's slowly losing it and the best is probably past him. Mayweather is a boxing genius and Manny would need to be the person he was a while ago to edge Floyd. Anything can happen but I wouldn't favour Manny. The Floyd - Cotto meeting is still a decent fight but I feel Mayweather will show why he can take on anyone and win comfortably.
The Likelyhood of a Pacman and Money superfight has likely vanished now with Mayweather reporting to Prison a month after his match on May 5th and with neither fighters getting younger I just don't see it happening now.

Scott Quigg recovered from a fourth-round knockdown to stop Jamie Arthur in the eighth to make a successful first defence of his British super-bantamweight title.
Both men started tentatively at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton but the fight came to life in the fourth session when Quigg was floored by a left hand from the Welshman.
Arthur, 32, who was returning to the ring after a year out, tried to finish the fight there and then but Quigg showed his resilience.

Lennox Lewis has warned David Haye that he could further tarnish his reputation if he comes out of retirement and rushes straight in to a fight with either of the Klitschko brothers.
Haye surrendered his WBA heavyweight title to WBO and IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko last summer with a highly disappointing points defeat which he partly blamed on a broken little toe.
The Bermondsey fighter hung up his gloves following the defeat but has since vowed to return to the ring - but only to fight Wladimir or his brother Vitali, who holds the WBC belt.

So they both get squash fights. How on earth is Tim Bradley going to last 12 rounds with Manny.. God help him even if Manny is not at his best he will still destroy this kid with ease.

Kevin Mitchell returned to the ring with an unconvincing points win over Felix Lora at a packed York Hall in London.
The 27-year-old had been out of action since stopping John Murray in Liverpool last year.
And the 'Dagenham Destroyer' showed a little rustiness as he made hard work of what looked a straightforward assignment on paper.
Lora, also 27, came in to the fight with a less than impressive 14-8-5 record but Mitchell had been prepared for a tough ten rounds.

British boxer Dereck Chisora has slapped WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko at the weigh-in ahead of their world title fight on Saturday.
The two squared up after stepping off the scales at a sports shop in Munich.
BBC 5 live boxing reporter Mike Costello, who was at the weigh-in, said Chisora's actions were "disgraceful".
"Somehow, Klitschko refrained from hitting back," said Costello. "He looked shocked. It has never happened to him before."
