Re: CF: Clickers Corner
Currently saving up to get a Canon EOS 450D. Gonna take some time lol (although I *really* want an EOS 5D MK II but they're about £3000!)

I'd love the Nikon D3x, but at £5000+ it's well outside my pocket. I keep my fingers crossed that one day my lottery numbers will come up.

it's not all about the number of megapixels... a lot of the quality is down to the size and spacing of the pixels on the CMOS. the glass is also massively important, and although carl zeiss do very good glass, the size of the lens will not aid the quality in a phone camera.

The older cameras will have a CCD sensor and not CMOS and thus will also use more power too. My only point was that my phone can take descent snap-shots as it's got focusing too.

a 5D mkII is about £2000, so there's a saving of £1000 straight away for you! second to that, canon are releasing the 7D (see here) soon, which will be around the £1600 mark. those prices are body only.
