Re: life on mars
Ah, Coool ! So unlike LOST, we won't be waiting about 5 years for an ending.
I'm sure it will be very good, I'm looking forward to this final series.

Re: life on mars
I would have loved a 3rd series though, I mean its not like there are 22 episodes in a season like lost.

Re: life on mars
There won't be a third season. There has only been one, and the second will be the last.

Re: life on mars
The programme had a great concept, but no doubt was difficult to keep making, particularly in respect of finding correct 1970s locations. So often you would see buildings from the period, but which had much more modern fittings within them.
There probably would have been enough mileage for a third series, but there would have been a danger over time as to how the modern character would eventually become corrupted by the 1970s ethics (or lack of).
What would be interesting is to see how the character readjusts to the modern era, on return to real life.

Re: life on mars
Anyone heard when the second series is due to air?
I did read that it will finish in February, which I took to mean thats when the last episode will air, but its possile that will be the month it starts.

Re: life on mars
BBC Canada start broadcasting it on Feb 28th 2007 so I'd assume the BBC will start it within the next 3-4 weeks. I'm imagine towards the end of January, there seem to be quite a few new series on towards that time.

Re: life on mars
Its already down for DVD release on the 26th March. So I presume it will be starting the end of Jan or start of Feb at the latest as there are 7 or 8 episodes.

Re: life on mars
According to the adverts on billboards around town, it will be back on 13 February (that's if I remembered the date correctly - I was on a bus at the time )
