I had issues at friends house on an infinity line.. In other words nothing to do with VM, but as it was a Youtube viewing record as well you may find out that the buffering was because of youtube themselves..

Now that was nothing to do with Virgin, 8 million people were trying to watch the same stream, i was watching it straight through the site and didn't have many issue, must have buffered maybe twice for a few seconds, i was happy with that as i knew how many people were trying to watch it

Re: He's for the High Jump!
I watched the beginning 20-30 mins on my 3 dongle with no issues, then i watched the last part of the climb to the landing approx 20 mins on my VM 60M connection with buffering a few times especially when he jumped which i missed and a few more times during the descent on the Redbull site.

Re: He's for the High Jump!
I watched it on the Red Bull site - occasional buffering, but luckily didn't miss the jump or the descent (on 60Mb).

There were less people watching at the beginning, most people either didn't know about it to start with or like me, would not bother watching the first part as not much happens for a loooong time, wouldn't have mattered how you were connected to the internet, fact was that Youtube half collapsed under the pressure but i'm impressed as to how well they did with that amount of people watching, it was actually completely down after the jump ended.

I did both, with no buffering on my 120Mb

Just finished watching it and what stood out for me was the first jump by joe Kittinger seemed to be in comparison a "gaffer tape and string" job compared to the technology available for felix's jump. That's not to take anything away from felix's jump it was fantastic but i am glad that kittinger retained some of his record even though he trained felix up to beat it .I'm also glad they devoted time in the program for Kittingers jump
Strongly recommend to watch it on i player
