I'm on VIP50 and requested to upgrade to TIVO, as a family member works for Virgin I get a discount that’s called mates rates.
The sales team are unable to apply any previous discount rates you may of got and you are signing up to a new 12 months contract at the VIP20/50 or 100 rates advertised
So if there are others who have just ordered who thinks existing discount/mates rates will continue you may want to double check with CS.
I'm having problems and cancelled my order.

I was worried about that too, so double checked at the end of my call to order (Still no email!) that mates rates would continue, and I was told that it would still apply.
If it doesn't then they'll have to deal with a very angry me.

Not too sure about that as you would still end up with crossovers on each thread

I have just been told by CS that once the TIVO order goes through is get my family member to complete the mates rate offer form again.

After seeing everyone report their install dates, I'm impressed with VM with how close the install dates are after sending out the emails. It makes up for the 4+ months between registering and getting an email

Don't think there is a need for a seperate thread.

|
So does that mean all VIP20 upgrades to VIP50 will not be charged an extra £30 activation charge, and only be charged the £149.95 TIVO installation?

Don't you have one already? Or am I mixing you up with another member? But at least I know I'm not alone. I've been really patient and not whinged at all, but it's driving me crazy watching all these people ordering

I think it's probably too late in the day now, but if I haven't got it by early tomorrow morning I very likely will do that. I was trying to be 'good' and not queue-jump, but I can't stand it LOL! I like the way you handled it, so will very probably ring tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed I get a CS agent who's as helpful as yours was
