Hi!
I'm having a lot of problems with my wifi signal, and I want to place my router closer to my room, so I need a longer cable, but I dont know how is called or where I can find it. Is for a Virgin router...

Could anyone help me please?

Thanks a lot!!

Re: Which cable is that?

white RG-6 coaxial cable. you can buy it online or in an electrical store such as Maplin. Don't forget you'll need connectors if you buy raw cable. Have you measured how much you need?

You'd probably be better off, if it's possible to run an Ethernet cable between the superhub and your computer as it'll be faster and more reliable and there's no chance of your causing problems to the signal levels from the VM network to your hub.

This.

And it'll probably be cheaper too.

Re: Which cable is that?

Hi, thanks a lot for your answers!
I need about 10 meters cable. So do you think that I could loose signal with that? Its much better to plug it with an Ethernet cable?

Cheers and thanks again!

10m is nothing for an ethernet cable

Re: Which cable is that?

I think he's talking about coax, and tbh 10m is nothing for coax either.

However IMO an ethernet cable will be more reliable, that way VM can't blame you for doing anything wrong to the coax.

Re: Which cable is that?

Hi!

Yes, I was talkin about the coax, but I've just bought yesterday the ethernet one and I'm so glad with it. I almost had forgotten what is to have fast internet!

Thanks to all for your help guys!

Cheers!
