Re: Coming soon to Virgin TV (2012) Vol. 1
I actually flicked between the sky 1 hd and sky 1 when they were showing some action from last season just to give me an idea what sd will look like if at some point in the future I decide to subscribe to the sports channels for f1. Firstly, the sd quality was decent as far as I was concerned, secondly, and despite that, there was a noticeable difference, the stuff on the hd channel was definitely in hd.

Yes I agree the new sky sports logo is better than the previous one. Pity the same can`t be said for more4`s new logo. I saw it for the first time yesterday and I found it very distracting.

The new Watch HD logo is a bit annoying too as it's rather large, not quite as discreet as the other channels!

Media Boy, do you know if there is any news on ELECTRIC SOFA TV yet, there web site states that they did plan to launch last year, and then early this year, But l spoke with them and they say they don't have a launch date.

Yes I agree with you regarding the new Watch hd logo. Also,I do wonder why ESPN and ITV feel the need to put their channel name and logo on the screen during football matches. Once is bad enough but twice! Now wouldn`t it be great if all channels followed sky`s example and removed the logo when the program begins. Wish they did it on the sports channels as well.

I find that with the Sports SD 1 & 2 and Sports HD 1 & 2, obviously there is a massive difference, but then for some reason (another conspiracy?), the quality in the SD Sports 1 & 2, is markedly lower than other SD channels.
Someone posted before they understood that the quality was deliberately reduced to entice VM customers to add the HD package, which I assume means Sky get more from VM.
