Personally I would welcome it, but not at the expense of content. The best channels in sd are worth much more than a load of old rubbish in hd as far as I'm concerned.

On your own site, Media Boy, you have also listed a number of other channels, including Al Jazeera and Sky Atlantic.
How reliable is this information?

But you didn't answer the question, Alan. Are you not hankering after these channels just for the sake of it? There are only a few worth having.

He can only go by what he is told by informed sources but as we all know sometimes things fail to materialise.

Re: Coming soon to Virgin TV (2012) Vol. 1
80 HD Channels on VM, someone's having a laugh, VM are so slow at bringing on new HD channels that they have cobwebs.
What l don't understand is why VM are so slow at bringing on these new channels SD or HD, if we are now on 'good terms' with Sky, then why can't we have the channels that are there.

Re: Coming soon to Virgin TV (2012) Vol. 1
Guardian: Channel 4 to launch 4seven catchup channel in the summer.
Channel 4 has secured a Freeview slot and distribution deals with Sky and Virgin Media for the project.
Maybe More4 +1 will relaunch on Virgin TV as part of this deal.

Re: Coming soon to Virgin TV (2012) Vol. 1
And what about a web-based interface for those of us who don't use their mobiles much? (And I mean more than the VM TVGuide-based one currently available)
