Re: Traffic management

The PCP spreadsheet shows

EACRH CHERRY HINTON CB13EQ {EACRH}{P5} 0 5% 4.29 8a Yes FTTC

So you should be on cabinet #5 of the Cherry Hinton exchange and all cabinets shown are planned for phase 8a which is the same as mine (mine is currently showing June 2012). The nasty bit in that line is the 5% - only 5% of lines on that cabinet will be done and I've no idea just what that means or why.

The BT checker says Cherry Hinton is ready but that only means 10 cabs are done.

If you are seriously looking at Infinity I'd suggest you phone and see if you can get any info but I suspect they'll just say you can't get it yet which you already know.

Re: Traffic management

Not quite. The 5% means 5% of lines in that postcode are served by that cab. 100% of the cab will be done.

Broaden the search to CB1 3E* and you'll see other postcodes listed under the same cab at 6x%-100%

As kwikbreaks said, exchange-only lines don't get Infinity, but even then both Cambridge exchanges have ADSL2+
also that some cabinets wont have FTTC either, if an exchange is activated it doesnt mean every cabinet will be.

That makes more sense. So presumably there's at least one other cabinet serving the area and they aren't doing that one.
