For instance I believe it was the linksys E1000 that has a firewall rule to stop it being pinged beyond a rate of 1 packet per second.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Having a lot of problems hosting games on XBox live and you tube buffering in the evening is a waste of time.120mb line.I have 1 locked upstream channel (9)
31.3dBMV.Downstream 4 and all look within limits( -2.1 to -1.6).
Any help appreciated.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Packet loss problems hit regions of VM users, Not users end, Starts even before there connection at the gateways...

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
My mates graph. Chunk of red at the start was prior to ping being enabled.
He's getting a chunk of packet loss. Would his upstream power level be too high at 58 dBmV?

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Yes - it's maxing out i.e. not communicating successfully all the time with the VM end; hence the packet loss. If the downstream power is very low, then it could be a loose coax cable somewhere.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Large minimum latency jump tonight seems widespread including core network.
Could be a tbb problem.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
It seems to be just a particular routing issue, my tbb graph shows a large jump in latency but my f8lure graphs do not. The issue doesn't seem to be affecting non vm connections looking at qas' tbb graph page though some look to have had a similar issue earlier in the night on O2/BE*.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
It is a routing issue
My own DNS servers gone in the middle of the DNS bench scale and the usually almost last ones are almost first now
