Virgin Owes me Cash

Virgin currently owes me over £270 due to a few billing issues over the past few months and they r refusing to refund even though now I am end of life care and have been given 6 - 9 months to live.

I asked them not to bill me until its cleared and they said they cannot do that and they said if I stopped direct debit they would put a hold on my services.

Is there anything I can do to get back the cash?

Thanks.

I'm so sorry to hear your news, any right thinking person/company would be.

Sadly, it doesn't surprise me in the slightest that you are being treated like this by this awful company.

Depending on your diagnosis you may have recourse under the Equality Act, you could ask their Alternative Dispute Resolution organisation to urgently take a look at this or you could get in touch with the CEO's office.

Hughes suggestion of informing Watchdog is a good idea too, as is contacting the Radio 4 programm 'You & Yours'. Companies that treat people like this hate to be exposed.

I'm only sorry that you have to waste time on this in the final stage of your life. I'm sure you must be wanting to do much more important things.

Wtf, I'm so sorry to hear this, I'm sure someone will read this and deal with it in no time, try not to waste too much time on it if you can afford it, all the best, doesn't seem long ago we were all talking about your dad, it's so unfair

Re: Virgin Owes me Cash

if you feel up to it, please let us know how you get on and I, like all of on here, are thinking of you at this time.

Two other options might be Ofcom and the ombudsman. Ofcom won't intervene but they might give you advice. The ombudsman asks you to wait 8 weeks after making a complaint but I get the feeling this has been going on for more than eight weeks. Their number is 0330 4401614.

Re: Virgin Owes me Cash

if they don't, and dontl give them any leeway beyond that seven days, I'd advise you to go straight to the ombudsman, assuming it is more than eight weeks since you first made your complaint.
