Re: The official close season non-World Cup football gossip/rumour thread
I see that arch prankster Rio Ferdinand struck again, this time trying to kidnapp David Beckham considering what nearly happened to his family last year probably not in the best taste, then again is phoning up Wayne Rooney and telling him his dog is dead much better.

I hardly think that getting a fake chauffeur to drive him aimlessly around Manchester, to get the chauffeur's shopping and to take him to see his family, kidnapping

The way I read it was that he was 'convinced' that it was genuine attempt, not that it really matters as I am sure t.v. gold awaits us when the show is aired

Hardly sounds like a serious kidnapping attempt. It's just that I wouldn't drive him around in a limo, hoping that he wouldn't notice that he wasn't going where he should have been going. I mean, if I was kidnapping him, I would tie him up, so he couldn't escape

Re: The official close season non-World Cup football gossip/rumour thread
the good news is that Kiraly is leaving Palace
the bad news is that he said he wants to find a Premiership club
a warning goals out to all Premiership managers be on the look out for a guy in baggy trousers pretending to be a goal keeper

Jordan targets Souness for boss
Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has revealed that he is keen to talk to Graeme Souness about the vacant manager's post at Selhurst Park.
"Souness is someone I would like to see and there along with a number of other managers," he told the club website.
Jordan added: "I want a manager who can take us up [to the Premiership] next season.

lol
not good news at all. would rather we got Peter Taylor. an ex player and a decent manager.. we need someone who will bring back proper football played on the deck to the club and don't think Souness will do this.. plus he's rubbish
Mike Newell has also been mentioned and would welcome him too.. anyone but Souness really

Not a rumour but..........fact........
Quote:
Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein has been voted off the Football Association board by the Premier League.
|
Then to add insult to injury to Arsenal's dismal season.....
Quote:
Dein was voted out of office as one of the Premier League's four representatives in favour of Manchester United chief executive David Gill.
|
Maybe now some executive decisions will go in favour of utd instead of Arsenal's

Not a bad bit of business in the end from Utd's point of view , and no doubt Mr ****tu is laughing all the way to the bank as well.

Souness is one of those managers who do nothing for a club, yet still manage to get a job at another club.
Football management is a strange thing...your C.V. is public record, yet some people seem to always get re-employed...
