Other cable operators have channels that VM customers would love to have.

as said before what can VM do if sky withhold channels Arthur or BT if they with hold bt sport it only can sky as BT sell it direct to sky customers should we blame sky for them not having access to VM's broadband Arthur ? and of course the answer is no you cant

Simply do not agree with Arthur on VM customer care or the length of time of negotiations.

UKTV launches catch-up service with YouView
UKTV has joined forces with subscription TV platform YouView to launch a catch-up service. Subscribers will be able to access content from Dave, Yesterday and Really on-demand through their set-top boxes. The move marks the first time UKTV has operated a catch-up service that is purpose-built for television hardware.
"The UKTV network currently reaches over 42 million viewers a month and this agreement with YouView will make our award-winning programmes and channel brands available to even more viewers," said UKTV CEO Darren Childs. "Providing a catch-up service for our free-to-air channels on YouView is an important step for us, ensuring we give viewers the 'anytime, anywhere' access to our channels and programming that they want."
Earlier today, YouView launched its companion app for Android devices, allowing users to record shows and view listings on the move. Dave content will be available through YouView from next month, with Yesterday and Really programming to be added before the end of the year.

BT Sports will be on Youview, if you take Youview via BT.

Virgin used to be the number 1 provider of catch up TV in the UK but have been overtaken by SKY and now YouView, in terms of channels covered bt their catch up service.

Virgin do seem to be falling behind badly as a tv provider. But then many of us saw that one coming

Mmm it's very hard to see what virgins future strategy could be, somewhere down the line they could be as relevant as talk talk.

Can't really agree with that tbh, there's not a lot of channels that Sky have that for me personally i'd be desperate to have, i would admit to wanting Atlantic and the other sports channels in HD but nothing else, plus the TiVo is a much better piece of kit than the Sky box.

Lot of doom merchants about at the moment. I am sure LGI will be working on their plans. They have only been running the show for 2 weeks, reckon they will have a game plan in another month or so.

Wasn't just thinking of sky,YouView with their catch up service and BT Sports are starting to make Virgin less attractive. But going back to Sky their catch up service is much better than Virgins now and also not sure what Tivo can offer me that I'd want(record 3channels at once perhaps?).

Yes those pesky little minions seem to be coming out in force lately with the many rose tinted glasses given to them by their master.
