We have our own deterrent.. namely 2 big white GSDs, but they can trample the plants better than any cat can do

I once used some lion dung (when you could get it), I never saw a cat within 100 yards of my garden.

I think you can only get lion dung pellets now, but I haven't tried them yet.

My neighbour has bought two cats, yes TWO of the so and so's, they don't have a garden or a litter as far as I know, so you can guess where they do their business, a bit of wonderful foresight by the neighbours, but maybe they don't care. They might care if I dig it up and stick it through their letter box though.

It's either that or I borrow a Jack Russell from someone

Thanks for all the tips folks. Spent all afternoon in the garden, much of the time tying netting all around my little patch, if a cat gets in there it's gone to the school of Houdini lol.

Hmm wonder what will happen if other owls live nearby, seem to remember a football club had a fake falcon to keep pigeons out of the ground which worked great till the local falcon saw it and smashed it to bits.

Thanks for that Daddy. In the end I dug out some fine plastic netting I'd bought from the pound shop and tied it to posts all the way around the plot, so far so good.
