I didn't realise you had conducted an in-depth study of Constitutional and Criminal Law, which obviously would help you arrive at your conclusion - how long do you think the State of Emergency should last, and how could we stop those powers being abused by the authorities?

It would only last a few weeks and in practise all it would do is stop crimminals and terrorists from stopping their removal, ocne that is sorted, then it will end, as far as I know this is the best of dealing with Abu Qatada without going against the European Court or results in leaving the ECHR (surely we do not want to be in the same club as Belarus, even Russia is a member of the ECHR)

We can deport him now as in my eye's UK law takes precedence over that of a failed economic and political system like the EU, The ones you support and want to expand.

re: [Updated]Abu Qatada's deportation appeal REJECTED
Its now been suggested that the ECHR tipped off Abu Qatadas lawyer that there was still time to file an appeal.
If that's true it pretty much shows they have no idea about neutrality and questions have to be asked about their true intentions.

Why are we still adhering to the rules if they cannot do the same. Send the barstoll home now and then pay the fine we get it will be well worth it.
