Some people are so stupid sometimes. They deserve a smack in the mouth for being so dim.

Ignorant people ...
I hate how ignorant people choose not to see that they are the one's causing the problem regardless of the seriousness of the issues at hand they just give everyone the one answer and that seems to be they even refuse their own lawyers advice because of their ignorance just do not understand some people ...

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 7
Myself. Have to inject 14 units am and 16 pm, but last night for some reason I injected 18 units of insulin. Been feeling rough all day, all 101 could say was to keep an eye on my blood sugars today and if they got low to call 999 and to see my GP tomorrow.
So now feeling like death warmed up. Great.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 7
Thanks den and weenie, feel much better today. Saw my GP this morning (who also happens to be diabetic lead at the GP surgery) and he told me that I will feel a bit meh for a few days and to be extra careful in future with my injections. Apparently if I do it again I need to go straight to A&E. So will be triple checking my dose in future, a 6 hour wait in A&E is not something I want to go through thanks.

Something that shows how much the educational system has been changed.
My sister was looking up the "catchment" area for her old Infant and Junior school. She is looking for a place for her son in a few years (he is currently two). We do not live in the catchment area despite living just over 100 metres from the school.

Stuart your sister can put in a placement request, I know we can do this in Scotland hope this help's as not everyone knows you can make a placement request best of luck I hope your sister gets the school of choice.

I suppose that's the good thing about being ill - I never have to wait at A&E... mind you I hate going to so tend to be really bad before I do.
The last time I went was in face with high (33.3mmol/l) on my blood sugar machine. In fact when they did blood tests it was nearer 40 it's just my machine can only read up to 33.3.
I am on 3x45units and 2x25 long acting.
But there was a problem with the insulin that I had taken that morning so it just hadn't worked.
It was a worrying few days that they kept me in for but all was ok in the end.
Only trouble is now I also have to check my ketones as well as blood sugar

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 7
Next time someone complains about the state of the NHS and how nurses don't give a toss for the patients, I would recommend to them that they visit my local A&E department.
Had to be rushed up there this morning after having a fall (not looking where I was going, tripped up and fell and caught my head right on the edge of a table). Due to being diabetic, I was rushed through all the tests and after just 2 hours was told that I would probably have some mild concussion for the next week but other than that no long term damage.
I am amazed, the amount of times my head has been cracked on tables/doors or been punched it should be hanging on by a very fine thread by now. Yet somehow it manages to survive all the punishment it has been subjected to.
