A few moans.

The weather. No specific moan apart from I wish it would warm up a little..

Then, this weekend I found out that a booking system I manage has been allowing bookings to go out this Friday and Monday. Bit of a problem as we are closed on those days. Thankfully, only a few people have attempted bookings, so I only have a few apology emails to send but still.

Then, this morning, I got in to work only to find my desk and chair buried under a pile of broken equipment that I am still trying to repair.

Not a good morning.

Another moan..

People who tell other people on forums to "Google it", use the forum search or they use that "Let Me Google It For You" site.

I think all three, if done under the wrong circumstances, are rude. My own opinion is that if someone knew the right terms to google for, why would they go to the effort of joining a forum, posting a question then going back to check. Using the forum search I consider roughly the same.

However, using LMGFTFY is,IMO, even more rude. Not only are you apparently criticising the user for not using google (although they may have, but not known the right terms), but you are rubbing their nose in the fact that they didn't use Google. If you do feel the need to provide a link to the search, do so. Don't link it through a frankly rude site.

BTW, although I have seen all three happen on here a few times (and more often than not complained about the post publically), I cannot recall any recent incident here, so don't worry, I am not having a go at anyone.

It's just I've seen a few examples on other forums recently.

The happy thought from all this is that she is successful, she has two feet and free will. I'm so pleased for her.
She's the one on the long-haul flight back to visit when she wants to.

Will I see her at Easter? - I doubt it.

Germany isn't far, you can drive there I'm a day if you want to anyway I hope it isn't to long for you and the other members here before they see the people they miss.

couldn't find the right screwdriver in all my bits to take apart my ps3. stl it was only 99p to order one from eBay. I was going to get the drive out today though.

I need to get it done while Natalie's mum is here.

I know I go on and on about my ailments (which I actually hate but I'm not strong enough to just can it all up) - but tomorrow is a full on MOT type day and after reading the blood tests I've got to take to the hospital with me I suspect it won't be fun at all

Actually I'm a little bit scared... Guess that's me being weak again.

You are not weak at all dilli but are in fact stronger then most people as you have been through so much and are a example to us all in the way that you cope with it all despite all the setbacks.

PS - Good luck tomorrow with your MOT test

You do not go on and on about your ailments. 99% of people would not be able to keep as brave a face as you do. You're a star and an inspiration.

Yes good luck with it all. And you are stronger than me, I suspect if it was me I would be moping and hitting out at others.

What would be the best way to complain about the postman who comes round my way? Didn't bother coming on Saturday or yesterday, today got a load of post minus a couple of items I'm expecting, namely a cheque for a couple of hundred quid. I saw him a few weeks ago feeling envelopes and when I informed Royal Mail, I got a letter saying they wouldn't look into it.

dilli you are one of the bravest, strongest people I have had the privileged to know and if anyone can get through tomorrow it is you. Time does not stand still so try to remember than this time tomorrow you will have faced what ever is to face and be in a position to deal with whatever needs to be dealt with. Hang in there sweetie, you have a great lady standing next to you ready to help in any fight and if you need to rant or have a darn good scream at the world then you know you also have friends who will listen and lend you a shoulder to lean on.

Thank you all - just waiting to get picked up now....

Just to irritate me that little bit more I got a letter from the DWP this morning telling me I'm not in the process of switching to ESA - Gotta wait for phone call / letter etc...
