It wasn't aimed at you - I have a number of supposedly 'passive' atheists on my FB who claim to be very "live and let live" but only just manage to contain their disdain of anything connected to religion. I like to play along with their fake liberal attitudes but this whole thing has brought out their true natures. There are a few statuses going up saying the church should be separated from state by so much that ANYONE should be permitted to marry in ANY church they want, as if the buildings are 100% public property.

Actually I think this is a way of avoiding talking about much more pressing issues such as the lack of growth in the economy and the inability of this government to get a fairer shareout of the economic pain.PAH!

I'm so thankful that people have finally realized that marriage was never meant to be only between a man and a woman. Why? Because I am in love with my horse and we want to get married. My horse, Fred, is not only my best buddy and friend, but he is soon to be my husband. We are getting married next month. We're planning a honeymoon at the Kentucky Derby. It will be a working honeymoon for Fred.

I find that as ridiculous as the church saying the bible prevents them from marrying people of the same sex especially as the bible has been altered over the years to suit the present climate, if anyone believes the bible is in anyway the same book it was a thousand years ago then they need lessons in reality.

It's the level of 'arguments' these anti-religionists have been banging on about tonight.

Re: [MERGED] Poll: Same Sex civil marriages, yes or no.
People don't need to be directly affected by something to have an opinion on it so i think that is a mute point people of all walks of life have opinions on things they will never experience or be affected by but nonetheless still hold an opinion.
