TiVo : Dynamic TiVo EPG?

I know, I know, it's been said before that's its not going to happen, but...

Last night we were whizzing through the last few weeks of The Gadget Show. We have a series link that would normally see the one hour programme record as 65 minutes, 1 minute before and 4 minutes after.

Now, one of the recordings was 68 minutes in length. When we watched it the first 5 minutes were of the programme before and then the actual show we wanted recorded perfectly.

Could it be that a dynamic EPG is under test? I looked at recordings from other channels and they were all in line with the series link settings, so maybe it's being tried out with Channel 5.

Excuse the taste, but I recorded Alien Autopsy on BBC1 recently. Only the EPG didn't say it was Alien Autopsy - the BBC announcer did. There was a film shown at the same time, so I recorded it and it worked.

But the EPG was far from dynamic or up to date.
