I applaud anyone who is a blood donor, fingers crossed I never need to require a transfusion.
I had a reprieve this morning from the dentist, had a phone call to say he was poorly. Decided to do the retail bit anyway just to cheer myself up lol!
and oh...........made an appointment to see the Doctor Thursday, hope I don't go all gaga. What's the bets my blood pressure is up?

You better practice what your going to say before you meet him and not buckle at the knees. We all want an update how it went

I wish I could give blood
Anyway my happy thought...
I went to the eye clinic at Addenbrookes' last week and was told there was nothing more they could do for my eyes but they would see if they could get me to their low vision clinic for more help (magnifiers that kind of thing).
I was told to expect a wait.
But I am going on Thursday, not a bad turn around at all.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
1) My TV died. This isn't normally what I'd call a "Happy Thought", but the TV in question is a 11 year 28inch SD CRT. Full marks to Sony for building reliable TVs though.
I am happy because it gives me an excuse, nay, a reason to buy an HDTV..
2) I've managed to achieve an awful lot at work today. Finally solved a problem that's been bugging me for days, which means I have nearly two thirds of the software I am in charge of deploying for the next academic year ready for testing now..

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
I'm so Pleased today, The Insrtuctor that is taking me for my Fork Lift course had to call is office about the other person on the course, and he left me instructing him, but I could over hear the call LOL.
I heard him say that I will pass no problem and I'm good enough to be an instructor myself, but the other person WILL need extra time and training.
My Practical test is tomorrow morning about 11AM

That is fantastic news Tosh. You must be so proud. Well that's another job you could apply for no problem if you wanted and you know you have the backing of the instructor as well. Well done you.

It's always satisfying to hear that someone appreciates what you can do. Even more so when the person speaking doesn't realise you can hear the compliment as then you can accept that his opinion is honestly held.
Just to be one the safe side though I shall still keep my fingers crossed for you tomorrow.
