V Stuff Back Up & Storage

I stored photos on V Stuff Back Up & Storage. Last accessed 9/1/13 today I tried to retrieve them but could not. Virgin Media helpline told me this service has been stopped and replaced by cloud storage and all people involved had been emailed. I was not emailed was anyone else?

Re: V Stuff Back Up & Storage

No, it was only advertised on their apps part of the website. I believe people had until 31 May last year to download all their stuff or it would be lost permanently. Hopefully you haven't lost anything vitally important.

Hello Paul

We wanted to let you know that the Virgin Media Backup & Storage will be closing on 31st May 2014. But there's no need to worry as we're replacing it with Virgin Media Cloud, a service that's even better, and even easier to use.

To keep your existing stored data safe you'll need to transfer it before 31st May to Virgin Media Cloud, or back it up onto your computer or Mac. After this date all data currently on Backup & Storage will be deleted.

Virgin Media Cloud – everything you need to know.

It works with PCs, Macs and tablets, as well as Android and iOS devices

It automatically syncs all photos, documents, music and video across all these platforms

You can access your data on as many devices as you like

It lets you share the content you store over social networks

Uploading files will be faster during off-peak hours - weekdays, before 4pm or after 10pm and at weekends, before 10am and after 10pm

Exclusive 100GB free trial until 31st May.

With Virgin Media Cloud, you get the first 5GB of storage free*. But if you've got more data you'd like to transfer, you're in luck. We're offering you 100GB of storage for free until 31st May. After that, it'll cost just £5.99 a month to keep up to 100GB in our cloud.

Here's what it costs per month if you want to store more data:

50GB
£3.99 a month

100GB
£5.99 a month

250GB
£13.99 a month

500GB
£26.99 a month

Getting started with Virgin Media Cloud.

It's easy to register for Virgin Media Cloud and adding files is really simple. Just click the link below to sign into My Virgin Media and get things started.

All the best,
The Virgin Media Team

*If you go over 5GB you will be entered onto the 50GB package which costs £3.99 a month. You will not be able to return to a free service, even if the amount you're storing goes back below 5GB. For more information visit virginmedia.com/vmcloudterms
