It does. It gives you (well, me) far worse hangovers than you would with other beers given the same amount, and I don't think it's due to it being stronger. I'm not sure why it is. There's a myth going around that it would contain formaldehyde as a preservative but apparently that's just a myth.
I might drink one or two bottles if it's the only lager in a Thai restaurant, but I generally avoid it. Even when in Thailand...
