Perhaps if they start using them they won't loose quite so many people, tell you bill what would you prefer giving them aid or sending our soldiers there because that's the stark choice.

As for the use of overseas aid ,if we want to stem the tide of asylum seekers and immigrants then aid needs to be given ,but targeted and managed much better than at present ,a much more active role by the donor country is needed .As I understand it most of the aid from the UK is simply put into a big EU pot and dished out with the UK having little say in how it is used ,not surprising that it is misused.

Give them any help they want imo, whilst it may have been a bit scaremongery of me to speculate that the country will fall to the extremists, it almost certainly won't but the last few years have seen the Taliban encroaching into large cities and the planes would've come in handy during the swat valley offensive.
