Re: Cricket

Very sad indeed, I can remember his exploits with I.T.Botham at Headingley against the Aussies as if it was yesterday.

I also watched as the classic scorecard entry took place,

Lillie, caught Willey, bowled Dilley.

No great surprise there sadly denphone really the same as i would have suspected.

Our Pakistan slow bowler at Essex Kaneria had to be dispensed with after years with us,as did Mervyn Westfield.

Due to match fixing allegations.

Yes corruption is endemic in Pakistan cricket and has been for quite a while and unless the punishments are severe enough l still think it will happen as some players are easily convinced by easy money.

Yeah a real classic, almost as good as: "The batsman's Holding, the bowler's Willey...."

RIP Graham Dilley and thanks for some great exploits!

A further three Pakistan cricketers have been named in court as being allegedly involved in a betting scam.

Re: Cricket

Bairstow looks a very fine prospect along with several others. Although some of England's results in other sports might not reflect it yet, there seems to be a lot of young talent about. The future's looking good methinks!
