ITV +1
True Entertainment
BBC Alba
Dave HD
Watch HDu
Sony Entertainment
CBS Action
PBS
Eden HD
Eden +1
Yesterday +1
Good Food HD
SKY Arts 1 HD
SKY Arts 2 HD
SKY Movies Classics HD
Boxnation
SKY Sports F1
NDTV 24x7
Colors
Sunrise Radio

We also got access to SKY Anytime, 3D content, ESPN Classic On Demand, not to mention the Spotify deal.

If Virgin can deliver this type of volume again over the next 15 months I'll be a very happy customer.
Cant argue with that, well done for actually looking matey

Thanks. I didn't actually realise so much had launched until I went back through the press releases and Wikipedia.

What we know is coming this year, from numerous confirmed sources are 4Seven, Alibi HD and Channel 5 +1. Not exactly an exciting list but proof channels are on their way. Let's not forget UKTV On Demand should be with us soon too, not to mention the ever building positive noises from both Lovefilm and Netflix about a TiVo launch.

Many people who took TiVo from launch, or shortly thereafter will be out of contract come July / August and will be free to leave if they wish. That's when the real test comes. Will these customers stay, even though they are out of contract, for the functionality of TiVo or will the lure of SKY's ever growing channel list tempt them away. The next 6 months could be very interesting and might signal if TiVo really is, and has been a success.

Apart from SKY Atlantic, Premier Sports I am struggling to think of any channels of value VM have not got! The only thing I come back with is the 20+ HD channels that SKY have over VM, no new material to watch but importantly though a better quality picture!

No, actually, quite a few new ones; and more than those that have closed

Sorry but customers are bound to wonder if that is what the increase was for
It's the annual price increase that, unfortunately, happens every year (hence the 'annual' bit of course )

Yes, that was badly timed!

Sky will shortly have another plus, that previously held people back who were tempted to move just for the extra Sky channels. And that is Fibre broadband.

Before Tivo, VM's broadband would have kept me with VM, even though Sky's better TV offering was very tempting. I'm sure a lot of people held off for the same reason. Come April, when Sky launch fibre, that will no longer be the case. Tivo functionality will keep me, but I suspect for many people, Tivo is a prefered box, but not an essential one.

VM need to hope that Sky don't launch a new improved box as well similar to TiVO more tuners etc. Now they've got fibre optic BB on the way soon.

l think there is no chance in the short term of Sky launching a improved box to match the Tivo but there again Sky customers generally just want a basic simple box with no bells and whistles on it.

I believe things like whishlists are tied up with patents, but I can't see why Sky would be prevented from adding more tuners. I'm not sure that your comments about simple boxes are true. V+ is a simple box, and look how many people have swapped it for a Tivo.

Given that, maybe you're inferring that Sky users are simple?; don't stand for it MM! (just kidding guys)

Anyone who thinks Sky will stand still and not try to combat Tivo are very mistaken.

There are some very attractive features listed above. I'm hoping that Now TV maybe a way to get Atlantic for non Sky customers. A slim chance maybe but VM seem to be nowhere near getting it ATM.
