Same as usual. If I am out when the match is on I record it.

I would want to record all of the boxing that's shown whilst I'm at work. The boxing hardly ever gets main focus on either BBC1 or BBC2. In 2008 most of the action was tucked away on the red button facility. I expect the boxing to be mainly tucked away on one of the streams.
My wife used to be a gymnast and watches any gymnastics on TV. I'd imagine she'd want to record some of that action too.

Bot will they they show the extra 24 (48 including HD) in a recordable format, i.e. regular TV streams? Non recordable access is of very limited use to people who are out at work during the day. Expecting a service equal to Sky's is not an unreasonable thing to ask for.

Totally agree. I'm sure Virgin will run the channels out to non-TiVo customers. It's clear from this thread, and the Red Button thread, that we their paying customers want the channels and expect them to deliver. We want to be able to record the channels too. Surely TiVo, V+ and V boxes are on par if not better than the boxes on offer from SKY and Freesat? We've also been informed on numerous times that there are no capacity issues so there can't be much holding Virgin back from delivering what their customer base wants.

I didn't say we couldn't discuss it. I said "not in this thread" as it is Off Topic for this thread.

I suppose we could get into the realms of semantics. ( Not that I would of cause ) Arguing that it is, something that should be, coming soon to Virgin or not as the case may be. However as much as it pains me to say this Carl I think you are right in this case

Tennis for me and some track events. The question should be, when most of us are/should be at work why WOULDN'T we want the ability to record the streams?

Quite clearly people will want to record some items that other people have no interest in. The opportunity to do more is always most welcome

The trouble for me is that you hear VM is going to 'A' and you think, fantastic... good stuff. The you hear SKY are doing 'A' but with the ability to do 'B' which VM can't/won't do and it leaves you feeling, meh!
