Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 7
Driving on the slip road of the motorway this morning my car started acting up, I noticed my glowplug light flashing, pulled into the hard shoulder, and turned off, as I had done previously.
Turned back on, an then I noticed the engine warning light was staying on, I managed to drive on but then the glowplug light came back on.
Limped to work and managed to get it booked in to the garage, I hop they can sort it as they have no courtesy cars, so might have to borrow myriads car, as I cannot afford to take any days off.

Well sitting in garage for last hour, 30 mins to wait, diagnostic check can take up to 1 hour, oh joy.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 7
We just picked out car up from the Garage this morning. Apparently the software needed updating. Which fixed it. That took a couple of hours.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 7
It's official. Saw my GP this morning, he agreed I need to have a little snip done and because the NHS waiting time is 4 months I'm using my nan's private medical insurance to get it done within the next 6 weeks. Only thing is, I have to go to their hospital, which is in Ipswich. But hopefully, once done the agony I'm in will go away and I can be happy at last.

Good to hear you have found a way around the long waiting list Mark. I am sure that the op will be a success and the pain you are in now will be a thing of the past. <hugs>

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 7
Thanks. Initial consultation half 8 next Tuesday morning. Feel guilty for going provate but my GP said if you are covered, use it. He had a rant about the NHS this morning whilst I was seeing him. Slammed their rules, etc. I agreed with him.

If you have never been this way before You should be in for what I hope will be a pleasant surprise. if you feel disloyal think of this way - you are "paying" twice & freeing up a bed for someone else.
Any way good luck & I hope it all goes well for you

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 7
Good Luck Mark the sooner you get it done the better. I had back problems & I needed an operation in 2004. I was told I would have to wait 18 months to two years, I went private & said we would pay & I had the operation within a week, It cost £4,000 but I was in agony. So take all that is possible.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 7
The op will have a knock on effect as well, no more being a stereotypical man in the bathroom, and cleaning it every day. Looking forward to having it done, wish I'd spoken out earlier to my GP about it.
