Scart Splitter .....
I have recently upgraded my video sender system to the 5.8 mghz bandwidth to avoid conflict with a recently installed wireless router.
I now have the perfectly adequate Philex (SLX) harware with I/R link. This works great with my V+ box. I have it connected to the VCR scart on the box as the TV scart is not active as the V= box connects in to the TV via HDMI.
Occasionally I am in the habit of transfering stuff from my V+ hard drive to my DVD rec, stripping out the messy bits and saving to DL DVD.
With my previous sender (Transwo) this was no problem as the sender had a scart passthrough supplied and the DVD recorder plugged into that.
I have tried the built in scart passthrough on the DVD recorder for the sender but it is only active when the recorder is switched on. Not something I prefer as it will stay on all night long after I go to sleep and I have finished viewing the V+ upstairs.
I have seen many scart splitters but they all seem to be concentrating on 2 feeds into 1 for folks that have had older TV's etc with insufficient scart inputs and more external appliances. What I need is the other way round. I source output split into 2 without the need for switching (that is both active all the time) to prevent having to crawl about to the splitter, or spending extra cash on another r/c device. The chances are that I shall only use either one or the other.
Anyone out there suggest a simple device.
Cheers.
