Yes l know what you mean as we are very careful when buying things like sausages as a good sausage IMO has to have 70% plus meat in and feel heavier and dense compared to a sausage with much less meat and plenty of other ingredients in them.

I think it's only recently that manufacturers have to state the amount of water in meat products.
You have to pay for decent sausages. These you can usually discern the ground meat through the casings unlike the pink pasty looking offerings.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
It's been one of these days, went to open the (new) greenhouse window and the window frame fell apart. Then decided to try and screw together some of our new metal shed only to find the pre drilled screw holes were too small for the screws they supplied. Undaunted I got the ladders from the garage to get up and replace the smoke detector battery only to find when I finally wrestled it from the hall ceiling that it said 'non replaceable batteries'. That did it, poured myself a large glass of wine in compensation.

I feel your pain and frustration Tinky.
10am this morning I decided to compile and print out some information that my neighbours and I will need prior to us all meeting up tonight to fight a proposed building application.
I was lulled into a false sense of having accomplished all I set out to do in under an hour. Silly me.
Sent all the docs to the printer and waited, and waited.
Checked printer.
Out of Ink!
Remembered getting replacement cartridges but couldn't remember where I put them.
Checked the logical place, then the less logical places...... sat down and sulked staring whilst staring at a set of 6 drawers.
"Ah Ha" I thought. I'm going to play clever here and check the last drawer first 'cause what you are looking for is always in the last place you look. The dang things, hidden away under my paper supply were smirking at me in the last drawer I checked!!!!!!!!!
Replaced the cartridges and sent the docs to the printer and waited.
Took out and replaced the cartridges again....sent the docs to the printer and waited.
Switched printer off and on again. All that VM advise kicked in.......and all the lights came on so.....sent the docs to the printer and waited.
Waning light came on and I found that the printer had no WiFi signal.
Hunted for the clever WiFi password I knew I had written down somewhere............
1pm password was still hiding from me so had my lunch.
Still munching my butty I had a brainwave and checked in my 'Oh so unhelpful' VM folder and under the obscure title WiFi/SH3 there was the sodding password.
Put in the password and all seemed well so I sent the docs to the printer and ........
Printed 2 pages then stopped, at least I knew where my printing paper supply was hiding after my earlier search for the cartridges so soon sent the docs to the printer
3pm Finished printing out 25 copies, couldn't find my stapler sod it!........
so had a very large G&T.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
My old place of work gone to rack and ruin.
Glad it's not needed any more (although not so sure now), but sad to see it in such a poor state.

Even though you had keyhole gall bladder surgery 4 days ago Mr M my advice would be to take it easy as although its not as invasive as gall bladder open surgery it is still a procedure that can take a lot out of the patient even though recovery time is quicker with keyhole then it is with open surgery.
