Under the Dome: Season 1
TV adaptation of Stephen kings novel by the same name.
Now the book was very good but so far it's turning out to be a bit of a lemon which is a shame.

Re: under the dome: season 1
Whilst the outline of the book is there even after the first episode they have totally ruined it. But as I'm a die-hard king fan I'll stick with it. Like most tv/film versions of books nothing ever compares to the original story.

Re: under the dome: season 1
If you compare any film/tv-show againt the book then you'll always be disappointed. Take it for what it is a sci-fi show thats a bit rough around the edges lik most of them but has the cast that could carry it through.

I'm glad you said most.....
I found the Tommyknockers tv adaption much better than the book.

Yea there are some exceptions to the rule & I agree with you on TommyKnockers. I'm hoping JJ Abrams version (if it comes to fruition) of 11/22/63 is as good as the book, I like most of his stuff. He has a keen eye for detail and guidance.

Re: Under the Dome: season 1
I've only just started watching this - it is pretty weak so far and I'm in episode 4. Hoping this gets better soon...

It doesn't. It stays pretty flat all the way through then has a complete let down of a season finale.
They've got a lot of work to do if it's going to survive past season 2 that starts soon.

Re: Under the Dome: season 1
Yup. If anything I think it got worse, lol.
Every season there is something awful that I only continue to watch because it's awful and I enjoy the carcrash (e.g. The Event, FlashForward, season 1 of Revolution)... This past season it was Under The Dome.

Re: Under the Dome: season 1
Another Stephen King I can't be arsed to continue with..
When his stuff is good it's fantastic. When it's bad it's mediocre.

Re: Under the Dome: Season 1
The only bit I've enjoyed so far is the cow...
Junior is such a "good looking psycho" cliche.

I watched Ep.1 and couldn't find the enthusiasm to continue with it.
