Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
Oh right, I think I misread that one. You have my apologies, now begone with you.
Where it's analogue only TV at the moment, VM have a lot of work to do to upgrade the service to make it digital capable. Some of the areas in London are apparantly hellishly old!
However, while analogue's on in digital-enabled areas, I'll make use of it, especially as it gives me channels (some timeshared) that I don't get on an M subscription STB. These include ComedyCentral 1, TCM, Nick, Cartoon Network, MTV ONE, Bloomberg, and best of all British Eurosport.
I wonder if they're (Virgin Media) aware that they have some premium channels on FTA analogue at the moment......

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
at first i thought u were gunna say FX HD was going to be added to virgin
Any news on MTV airing in proper widescreen yet? They have lots of shows that are filmed in ws but are aired in 4:3 with widescreen video in it, so that quality is very poor. Surely they could make the switch! Especially as they have an MTVHD channel now, shame the content on there is limited at best.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
Hi Media Boy,
When you say "All BBC Radio and TV Channels will launch in all areas of Virgin TV" in post 1, does this mean just the BBC TV areas "England", "Northern Ireland", "Wales, "Scotland" - or will we be getting all the regions (ie. "South East", "London", etc)?
Also does this mean Virgin will finally have BBC Two Wales, etc - or just the BBC One channels?

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
I have been hearing a few times today that the BBC are making their HD content available on iplayer. Will that only be the internet based iplayer or are we going to see it on the VM catch up TV implementation of iplayer?
Any ideas?

BBC HD iPlayer is only on the iPlayer web site right now but will come to other network (Virgin Media) soon.
BBC has still to set an launch date for it to appear on Virgin Media.
Quote:
At present, the new HD servce, which also includes HD downloads of some programmes, is only available on the BBC iPlayer at present.
There are plans to roll out the HD streams to devices such as the Virgin Set Top Box and PlayStation 3, but no date has yet been set.
