if you click on each region, it'll bring up a slightly more detailed map. Looks like Farnham, Aldershot are part of the London region. I can't quite tell where your postcode lies within that map, though.

Re: wrong regional channel /
It's because it's fed from the Guildford headend and the local channel for there is London (Crystal Palace area)
Im not sure about ITV south but BBC south is in the 800 channels

Re: Wrong regional channel
You get ITV Meridian on channel 870, and BBC1 South on 858.

Re: Wrong regional channel
We live in Crawley and should be South East for regional - since we changed from sky to virgin we are now London!
Really annoying my wife especially, wouldn't be so bad if I got the London Weighting allowance

Not according to ITV. Crawley is well inside the London region. See https://www.itvmedia.co.uk/our-regions/london

As per spiderplant's advice above (#4), can you not access the ITV region you want from any channels in the 800s series?

103 is the local version of ITV for the majority of users on whatever headend happens to serve a specific Virgin Media area. Virgin Media areas are based on legacy cable franchises and don't necessarily match BBC One or ITV editorial regions.
There is a map available showing which TV regions are available on 101/103 across the VM national network.
http://store.virginmedia.com/content...erecording.pdf
Where there is a significant overlap between VM areas and TV regions, VM makes any additional BBC One regional channels available on EPG channel 858 and makes any additional ITV regional channels available on EPG channels 870 and 871.

I'm not really sure why you find switching to Freesat from Sky, or getting the roof aerial fixed and using DTT, to be easier than selecting 858 or 870 on your VM equipment...

Not strictly true, Sky has a fixed number of sub-regions, tied to postcodes, and the version of ITV you receive on Sky should be fixed at whatever ITV allows them to provide for your post code.

As far as I know, Crawley has BBC One London as the main BBC channel with BBC One South East as an alternative. The main ITV channel being ITV London, with no alternative provided on channel 870.
Crawley, however, gets the Meridian version of ITV +1 even though, as you say, it is well inside the London region.
That should make VM's regional policy much clearer.

There are no alternatives in Crawley.
Of the top of my head, the other regions that do have alternatives are Basildon (London/Anglia/Meridian), Luton (London/Anglia) and Nottingham (East Mids/East Yorks).

Sheffield???
The NIT for Crawley includes SID 10101 BBC ONE London (101) and SID 10126 BBC ONE South East (858) but only the London version of ITV.
