Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
8/10
Not as good as Raiders, but IMO still at least as good as Temple of Doom, & still an INDY MOVIE.
Plus easily far better than all the pretenders... Tomb Raider, Sahara, etc...and of course the awful National Treasure.
As for the ... didn't have too much of a problem with that, really. OK, I'd have preferred the ending to be more like the original three, but I don't think are any worse than the endings in the original trilogy.
One thing I did have a problem with... a FRIDGE!? LOL.
And maybe the monkeys...

No Country for Old Men (Blu-ray Disc)
Very good, with some great performances (especially from the creepy psycho bloke).
Bit of an "eh? WTF?" ending though.

'Death Proof'
this is the second in the 'double header' Grindhouse project which includes the 'Planet Terror' film I watched the other day.
It is a very different experience to 'Planet Terror' & more difficult to 'get' the idea it supposed to be a parody. However, while some of the dialogue scenes are a little slow, the car based action sequences are superb.

Quaid - "I thought you said you had five?"
Benny - "Heh, you got me man, I ain't even married"
Quaid - "See you at the party, Richter!"
Quaid - "Screw you, Benny!"

Ironically, I saw this film the night before my friend's stag do, and it was playing on the plane on the way home from his wedding... Sort of bookending the wedding.
Anyhow, although it was an enjoyable film, I took advantage of the fact I had loaded up my iPod with decent films, and fully charged it, and watched Terminator 2 on the way back.
I did hear a lot of complaints when we started the approach for landing and the pilot turned off 10,000 BC before it had finished.
Anyway, went and saw Indiana Jones tonight. Excellent film, well up to the standards of the others.

Well I enjoyed the last one...I think it was more a chick flick though...I suspect that I shall hate the new one.I have agreed to accompany my son to see it though.
