Yeah, but going from near-perfect to four times worse than I've ever seen on VM in the space of a month and a half is still pretty impressive, even for them.

Something that occurred to me later is that it just might be high noise causing CRC errors. Worth checking error counts and SNR in the modem stats imo. Most packet loss only shows in the graphs when there is obviously high congestion and I assume then it's timeouts. Unless I'm totally out on my understanding of how it works in which case I'd love to see an explanation of this.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
This is the graph to the CMTS itself, there's severe problems there:
but the core node here isn't having issues:
Points to link between core and CMTS, affecting everyone's modems in the area. As I say, problems in Edinburgh are probably unrelated to craigj2k12's.

Anyone signed up to Sky's fibre service yet ?, I'd be interested to see how it fairs up using the TBB ping monitor.
I've taken the plunge and signed up yesterday (install date 28th), fingers crossed it's half decent

I don't know what it's called but it's up to 40Meg down and 2 up and is apparently unlimited. Which is ample for me, I only really want it for the improved latency while gaming as I'm on the end of the long line at the moment

I'm coping fine at the moment with just 796Kbps upload, can host full lobbies with 8 friends all using voice chat with no probs so 2 meg is ample for me.
