Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Just seen a very impressive Red Kite swooping above our house. As it soared higher, a nearby crow flew up to harass it and for a few minutes the two birds engaged in a bit of a dog fight. Fascinating stuff and truly beautiful falcon.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Finished work early to take advantage of the sunny weather and build our new garden furniture. The heavens opened in spectacular fashion on the way back into the house after completing the job. Great timing!

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Thanks. I should have had broadband at my new house on the day I moved in, but with the solicitors dragging their heels, we didn't complete until 3:00pm on the day so BT Couldn't get in to do the work that they needed to do. So I've been restricted to my phone until today

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Osem Jnr#2 has just completed his first ever work experience. With a little help from school staff he did a few hours in a local Sainsburys supermarket, helping to stack shelves, tidy up in the stockroom and crush old cardboard boxes. Apparently the tins on the shelves have never been stacked so straight. The only thing is that he doesn't like anyone to touch them once he's aligned them all so perfectly so I don't think he has a long term future in retail...

You and your wife have a lot to be proud of Osem. Lovely to hear that Jnr#2 has had such a positive work experience. I am sure his attention to detail will stand him in good stead in the future.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Cheers Jo and Den. He's been really moody lately so we were quite nervous about the prospect but after a bit of an awkward start, he really enjoyed himself apparently. What we keep having to remind ourselves is that he's got tons of hormones coursing around his body right now and it's quite easy to forget that him being a teenager needs to be taken into account at such times...
