I hated that 25 minute goalless spell at the end of the first half...
4 goals to v. Persie, 2 for Sneijder and Huntelaar, and Heijtinga and Kuijt grab one each. Wijnaldum scores the 11th in the 90th minute after coming on as a sub in the 86th minute on his international debut. Sweet

Nice result for us - dropping a goal is standard but a win is a win

Does that mean Wales may go back above Antigua in the next world rankings list.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
Speaking of world rankings? How the hell did England sneak back in to the top ten, and why are they fourth?
Incidentally: Holland v San Marino was Fifa ranking #1 (somehow Spain lost the #1 spot by losing a friendly, go figure...) against the lowest ranked nation (203/203).

They've been in the top 10 for a few years now, they undeservedly went up to 4th in the same way Holland undeservedly went to 1st, because of the cancelled friendly and countries above them losing/drawing a game.

I think that the Dutch team has more rights to be in the top 2 then England in the top 5 judging by past world cups or European cups
oh before you mention 96 yeah okay.....but when was the last time that england got into the quarters or even semi's of a world or European cup?

I didn't say they don't deserve to be in the top two, i said they didn't deserve to be 1st. I'd like to see anyone argue that they are a better side than Spain at the moment
I think England deserve to be in the top ten but certainly not 4th.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
While happy with England's result one thing did leave a sour taste in my mouth and that was the racist chanting aimed at some of England's player's by sections of the crowd and lets hope UEFA crack down hard on them but l would not hold my breath with the authorities as this has been done many times before and their response is usually a pitiful fine and not much else.
Bulgaria's Lothar Matthäus apologises for racist abuse of England players

Going on the amount of coverage the press is giving the Wales match I think the papers are asking the same thing.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
If I was to pick two teams to watch in a football match, Holland vs Spain would probably be it.
Hmm..maybe brazil, wait..Argentina..Uruguay...ok...let's have a world cup to decide
