Prices are higher because of theft. Theres no difference in that and shoplifting and I'm sure you don't do that now?

Re: Virgin media possibly getting serious on dodgy boxes?
Guys and Girls i just had to post this i have just found this on another forum.
Quote:
Hi, PLEASE help
I am a genuine Virgin customer and recently got my new updated smart card however I sold my old one and I figured they would re-write it but I am concerned now to know if it will affect my bill/connection, I read on here that the talk back is disconnected so I am hoping that means they cannot use paid for tv like the premium film packages and sports events.
Can the old card affect me in anyway or will it be totally re-written and not matter ?
Thanks in advance

OK you do realise that the money paid to the people who produce music, films, books and artwork are selling on behalf of the musicians, actors, film workers, writers and artists? That the money they makes is divided up into different pots and one of those pots are the Musicians, writers, actors etc?
Now why should any musician carry on and produce music if someone like you isn't prepared to pay him for his talent. They can't work for nothing,no one can.If you don't buy but just download for nothing you are literally stealing from that musician.
Now is that fair?Is it right?
Put yourself in their place and think how you would feel.

Come on now... I know you are about 13, but you must see if everyone stops paying, then there will be no product?
And some manners please

They will soon have a way of watching anyone who is file sharing, It's what they intend to do with that information that worries some.

which shows how little you know about the subject of this thread in relation to illegal downloading - look up deep packet inspection on google to get some idea of what is possible ...
